The Resort Smoothie

The ultimate luxurious, hydrating, "don't bother me, I'm at the spa" smoothie. Perfect for a post-weekend de-bloat or anytime you want to feel your best.

 

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups unsweetened vanilla nut milk

1.5 scoops Hint of Vanilla Beauty Protein

1/2 cup chopped cucumber

2 celery stalks

1/4 frozen avocado

Splash of lemon juice

Handful of ice

Pinch of honey or stevia, to taste

Optional: 1 scoop of Greens Ritual

 

HOW TO:

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender.

Blend on high until smooth.

All around super-woman Reese Witherspoon shared her favorite green smoothie recipe, which she has had every single morning for the last 9 years—wow! She also shared that she got the recipe from Kerry Washington, after asking her at an awards show how she got her skin so flawless and glowy. Naturally, we had to give it a try. 

 

Reese's Daily Green Smoothie

Yield: 2 servings

 

2 heads romaine lettuce (yep, two entire heads!)

1/2 cup spinach

1 apple

1 pear

1 banana

1 whole lemon (she chops the rind off)

1/2 cup coconut water

Optional: 1 tablespoon of almond butter, vanilla protein powder

 

 

The verdict: We chose to use the optional add-ins, a little blood-sugar balancing protein and fat to round out all of the delicious fruit. We added organic vanilla protein powder and a tablespoon of almond butter. It was delicious! And felt amazing to consume so many whole vegetables and fruits. Fully committed to keeping this going if we start glowing like Reese and Kerry!

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups unsweetened vanilla nut milk

1 cup filtered chilled water

1 cup fresh organic spinach

1/2 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen mango

1/2 cup frozen pineapple

1 scoop Hint of Vanilla Beauty Protein

1 scoop Greens Ritual

 

HOW TO:

Combine liquid and fresh spinach in a high-speed blender.

Blend on high until smooth.

Lower to minimum speed and add remaining ingredients.

Start slowly and build to high speed.

Blend until creamy.

And she loves a hydrating smoothie for breakfast. Recently, she shared her two favorite smoothie secret weapons: chaga and banana. 

 

 

Why add these two to your next smoothie?

Chaga is a highly medicinal mushroom that has been used for centuries to help boost immune health. In addition, it has been shown to fight inflammation in the body, help lower blood sugar levels, and may also lower harmful cholesterol levels.

INGREDIENTS:

Water from a young fresh coconut (or half a glass of coconut water)

1/2 a glass goat’s or almond milk

1 tablespoon acai powder

1 tablespoon goji berries

1 tablespoon spirulina

1 tablespoon raw cacao powder

tablespoon maca powder

tablespoon chia seeds

tablespoon plant protein powder

tablespoon coconut oil

 

HOW TO:

Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend slowly, building to high until creamy.
